Two Palestinians killed in Rafah and injuries in shelling of Khan Yunis

Two Palestinians were killed this morning, Monday, by Israeli army gunfire in the center of Rafah city in southern Gaza, while the occupation forces opened fire with their aircraft and vehicles towards several areas in the north, south and center of the Strip, at a time when Israel is still evading the start of implementing the second phase of the ceasefire agreement after the first phase expired at the beginning of this week.

An Israeli helicopter fired two missiles at a site in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, wounding 3 Palestinians.

The occupation forces opened heavy fire east of Jabalia, north of the Strip, and the occupation aircraft opened fire off the coast of Khan Yunis, and heavy flying of helicopters was seen in the western skies of Rafah, south of the Strip.

These developments come after the Israeli government decided, with the end of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, to evade the obligations of the agreement and the prisoner exchange deal, which entered into force on January 19, and to adopt a proposal by the US President’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, and continues to refuse to negotiate the second phase, while announcing the suspension of the entry of aid into Gaza.
