The Israeli occupation continues its extensive aggression on the city of Tulkarm and its camp for the 35th consecutive day, and on the Nour Shams camp for the 22nd day, and has escalated the storming operations, raids on homes, and forced displacement of residents, amidst the destruction and burning of a number of them.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces sent military reinforcements to the city and its two camps, Tulkarm and Nour Shams, and patrolled the streets and alleys amidst heavy live ammunition, while they were stationed along Nablus Street linking the two camps, where they are still seizing residential buildings on the street and turning them into military barracks.
Eyewitnesses reported that the occupation forces vandalized and destroyed the contents of the Al-Amer building on Nablus Street after seizing it and forcibly forcing its residents to leave, and threw personal belongings out of the windows.
The occupation continues to impose a strict siege on the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, preventing entry into or exit from them, and deploying infantry squads around them and inside the neighborhoods and alleys, accompanied by police dogs, while raiding homes, vandalizing them and destroying their contents, and subjecting any residents inside them to interrogation.
In Nour Shams camp, the occupation forces set fire to residential homes in the Al-Manshiya neighborhood at dawn today, with flames seen rising from them, in continuation of the demolition operations carried out yesterday, Saturday, which affected more than 11 homes and their surroundings.
The occupation forces also forced the residents of the Wadi al-Qalansaweh neighborhood to evacuate their homes by force, after raiding them and firing sound bombs at them, while using their members as human shields. Citizens reported that the occupation gave seven families in the neighborhood until eight o'clock this morning to leave their homes.
Earlier, the occupation forces raided homes in Jabal al-Nasr neighborhood, forcing residents to leave, and giving them a few minutes to leave, while firing live bullets and sound bombs to terrorize and terrify them.
In Tulkarm camp, the occupation forces raided the empty houses and shops located along Al-Wakala Street after removing their doors and blowing them up, while firing live bullets at the houses in the areas near the airport and Al-Hadaida neighborhoods, to terrorize the residents who remained in their homes in those neighborhoods.
Since the first day of the occupation's aggression, Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps have witnessed a large displacement movement among their residents, including women, children, the elderly and the sick, whose number exceeded 16,000 displaced persons, who headed to shelters and the homes of their relatives in the city, its suburbs and its countryside.
The occupation forces directly targeted the infrastructure of the city and the camps, destroying roads, water, electricity, sewage and communications networks, making daily life more difficult.
Amidst the continued tight siege on the camps, the appeals of the citizens who are still in their homes and living in difficult and harsh conditions continue daily, to secure the arrival of their basic needs of food, water, medicine and baby milk, and to work on repairing the water and electricity networks, at a time when the occupation is obstructing and preventing the work of the relief crews while they are trying to deliver the basic necessary materials to them.
For the 23rd consecutive day, the occupation forces continue to close the gate of the Jabara checkpoint at the southern entrance to the city of Tulkarm, isolating the city from the villages and towns of Al-Kafriyat and the rest of the West Bank governorates.
