Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Moustafa met today, Saturday, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, at the Cabinet headquarters, to discuss and review the features of the early recovery and reconstruction plan for Gaza, which will be presented at the Arab Summit.

Mustafa stressed that the joint plan with Egypt to rebuild Gaza ensures that the population in Gaza will not be displaced, and that it is ready and implementable.

He stressed that what is happening in the northern West Bank is no less dangerous than what is happening in Gaza, stressing the need to end the occupation and establish the Palestinian state.

Mustafa expressed his appreciation for the Egyptian efforts in supporting the Palestinian people, praising the efforts of the Egyptian President in supporting the legitimate Palestinian rights, the efforts to rebuild the Gaza Strip, as well as the efforts made by all Egyptian state institutions.

For his part, the Egyptian Prime Minister affirmed Egypt's support for our people and our legitimate rights, especially the right to self-determination and the independence of the Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Madbouly stressed that the Egyptian state is doing its utmost to support the Palestinian cause and the brotherly Palestinian people, whether through continuing efforts to implement the ceasefire agreement in all its stages, or reconstruction in the Gaza Strip.

The meeting was attended from the Palestinian side by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wael Zaqout, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Arab Republic of Egypt Diab Al-Louh, and from the Egyptian side by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Badr Abdel-Ati.
