Trump's envoy: Tel Aviv has a red line that Hamas cannot cross, which is continuing to control Gaza
US President Donald Trump's envoy, Steven Witkoff, confirmed that the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza will be more difficult, but he stressed that there is a real chance for success if understandings are reached between the parties concerned.
Ceasefire Agreement and the Critical Phase
Witkov said that the second phase of the agreement is supposed to put an end to the war in Gaza, but he pointed out that there are major obstacles to the negotiations, especially regarding the status of the Hamas movement in the Strip.
He explained that "Israel" has a red line that Hamas cannot cross, which is continuing to control the Gaza Strip, noting that finding a solution to this issue is still difficult.
Progress in negotiations and Trump's plan on Gaza
Witkov announced that the talks on the second phase are making significant progress, expressing his hope that these efforts will lead to positive results that contribute to achieving a permanent calm.
Regarding Trump's plan for Gaza, Witkov denied that it aims to displace Palestinians, stressing that it seeks to change the way of thinking about the future of the Strip and provide solutions that serve the interests of the Palestinian people, according to his statement.
All eyes remain on upcoming developments amid intensified international efforts to reach a comprehensive agreement that will achieve stability in Gaza and the region.
