Israeli occupation continues to obstruct aid to Gaza and anticipation of the second phase negotiations

On the 30th day of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, Israel is obstructing humanitarian aid to the Strip, and continues to refuse to allow mobile homes and heavy equipment into Gaza, which Hamas demanded, and confirmed that it had received guarantees to implement it in order to complete the prisoner exchange payments.

Various circles are anticipating the start of negotiations for the second phase of the Gaza agreement, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the cabinet will convene on Monday to discuss negotiations for the second phase of the agreement, and in parallel with that, the Israeli negotiating delegation will arrive in Cairo.

Netanyahu's announcement came after he spoke by phone with US President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, and met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Jerusalem, where they discussed several issues, including Trump's plan to displace Gaza residents, and the second phase of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.

US President Donald Trump said it was up to Israel to decide whether to deal with Hamas over a prisoner swap, but only after consulting with him. He said Hamas had ultimately committed to releasing the Israeli prisoners, who he said appeared to be "in very good shape."

This comes at a time when the humanitarian suffering in Gaza is worsening, in light of the Israeli refusal to allow the entry of homes and mobile vehicles, obstructing the entry of relief aid, as hospitals suffer from a severe shortage of medicines and oxygen, after the Israeli army destroyed the central oxygen supply stations.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that "the destroyed stations, which number ten, were meeting the oxygen needs of vital departments such as operations, intensive care, emergency and nurseries, in addition to the needs of patients at home."
