Statement issued by Hamas regarding the recent bombing of the southern Gaza Strip
The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, issued a statement in which it said that "the treacherous bombing carried out by an occupation drone on Sunday morning east of the city of Rafah, which targeted police officers tasked with securing the entry of aid, resulting in the martyrdom of three of them, is a serious violation of the ceasefire agreement."
Hamas added in its statement that this violation of the ceasefire agreement is in addition to the occupation's denial and failure to abide by the terms of the agreement, the latest of which was the occupation's statements not to allow the entry of caravans and heavy machinery, which it had committed to and informed the mediators of at the end of last week.
Hamas pointed out the occupation's hesitation in starting the second phase negotiations, which confirms its lack of seriousness in adhering to the agreement that was sponsored by the mediators and witnessed by the world.
She explained that this revealed Netanyahu's intentions to obstruct the agreement and prisoner exchange operations, and his efforts to return to aggression and commit more crimes of genocide.
Hamas condemned the "brutal crime" and all violations in implementing the agreement and the humanitarian protocol.
It also held the occupation fully responsible for the repercussions of this, calling on the mediators to assume their responsibilities in obligating the occupation to fulfill all its obligations, intervening to stop its repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement, obligating it to implement the humanitarian protocol in all its provisions, and immediately starting negotiations for the second phase.
