America is building a new and violent world
The war declared by the United States of America on the International Criminal Court, by Congress passing a law imposing sanctions on the judges of that esteemed court, last Thursday, January 9, which included: preventing the judges and administrators of the court from entering the United States, and punishing them financially, administratively and legally. The decision, which was approved by 247 representatives, also includes stopping funding for the court, and that the court has no authority over Israel or any of America's allies. Among the reasons cited by the United States to take this decision was saying that the court equated Israel with the Hamas movement. In this regard, we must not forget what Michael Johnson, Speaker of the House of Representatives, stated against the International Criminal Court, where he threatened its members with woe, perdition and terrible things. As for this person in particular, he does not hide his extremism and his massive and inhuman support for the vision of Netanyahu and his partners in genocide. Johnson's statements are particularly provocative, as he appears with this smiling and satisfied face and the touch of childhood and innocence shining from his eyes. You feel that he is happy as he talks about killing children, besieging an international court and glorifying murder.
It seems that the war on the Palestinian people for more than fifteen months has done a lot in the region and the world, and the profound changes have not only occurred in our region but also in the world. As for the United States of America, it has toppled a biased and hypocritical administration and elected a clear, extremist, violent and right-wing administration, which is what happened in some parts of Europe as well. It is as if the war on the Palestinian people has awakened grudges, resentments and stereotypical images of each other.
As for the United States, which has announced through a law in Congress its blockade and drying up of funding for the International Criminal Court, it is actually ending the work of the court, and thus ending the work of international law, and turning its back on the old world for another new world order based on the law of the jungle, violence and brutality. This may be consistent with what Trump announced about his intention to annex Greenland, Canada and the Panama Canal. This is a new behavior expressed by the United States in service of its interests, ambitions and vision for the coming years of this century in which we live. A nuclear war may not break out between the different parties, but it is certain that aggressive behavior of this type by America will push other parties to do its part, so that every country, large or small, will attack its weak neighbors, or those who have no support or backer. Instead of resorting to the Security Council or any other international body - considering that all of these bodies will lose their role and authority - we are facing a dangerous and savage world that may fall into the depths of a real nuclear war, which will put our entire planet before the prophecies that the followers of the three religions believe in. America, whose White House Trump will enter in about a week, wants to impose on its partners, allies and enemies new conditions for a relationship based on the relationship of master and slave, or feudal lord and serfs of the earth.
This is a call and preparation for conflicts and the outbreak of unrest of all kinds. America, which is entering a post-capitalist world with its encroachment on money and technology and contempt and disregard for the human soul and basic human rights, will perhaps be forced to confront enemies on multiple fronts that it cannot confront, and perhaps in an extreme scenario, the castle may collapse with everyone in it, as is the sudden and usual habit of history, as the mighty castle collapses from within in a recurring event, amazing but also boring.
Returning to the US Congress resolution against the International Criminal Court, it is an insulting decision to justice, an insult to the world, and an insult to moral values. A decision of this kind means that the ethics and laws that America and the colonial West in general boast about are nothing but a cheap pretext for colonialism. It was striking that what Europe cried over in the new Syria, it completely ignored in Palestine. Lies that no one is ashamed of anymore, or even tries to beautify. We are truly on the cusp of a new world that is rapidly taking shape.
