Medical sources reported the death of an infant in the Gaza Strip today, Sunday, due to the cold and low temperatures. He is the fifth infant to die from the cold in less than a week.

The same sources announced the death of the one-month-old infant, Jumaa Al-Batran, and the deterioration of the condition of his twin, Ali, due to the cold, in a tent in Deir Al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.

A few days ago, four newborn babies, aged between 4 and 21 days, were killed as a result of low temperatures and severe cold.

According to sources, food insecurity among mothers has caused new cases of illness among children, exacerbating the health situation in light of the difficult conditions the region is experiencing.

For the 450th consecutive day, the occupation forces continue to launch hundreds of raids, artillery shelling, and commit crimes in various parts of the Gaza Strip, committing bloody massacres against civilians, and carrying out horrific crimes in the areas of incursion, amid a catastrophic humanitarian situation as a result of the siege, and the displacement of more than 90% of the population.

Thousands of dead and wounded have not yet been recovered from under the rubble due to the ongoing bombing and the dangerous conditions on the ground, in light of the stifling siege on the Strip and the strict restrictions on the entry of fuel and urgent vital aid to alleviate the catastrophic humanitarian conditions.
