UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said that children in Gaza are freezing to death due to the cold and lack of shelter.

"We need a ceasefire and an immediate flow of essential supplies, including winter supplies," he added in a press statement on Friday.

He pointed out that blankets and winter supplies have been stuck for months awaiting approval to enter Gaza.
