Banning medicine and food in Gaza...a deadly Israeli weapon
In the northern Gaza Strip, as was the case in the center and south, corpses and bodies are piling up in front of its doors and in its corridors, and shrouds for the dead are not available, due to the huge numbers of martyrs, and funeral prayers are held for those who are present and in the hospital yards for those who the rescue and civil defense teams are able to retrieve, and nothing is heard except the voices of relatives in a state of crying and intense sadness.
If some journalists were able to enter the hospitals from the inside, the conditions seemed very tragic, as doctors struggled against time to treat those who could be treated, but often the stock of medicines runs out, and doctors are forced to prioritize treating the most serious cases, and some of the wounded are forced to wait several days until their turn comes to receive a dose of treatment.
Despite these catastrophic conditions, Israel did not consider the humanitarian aspect, but ignored it and insisted on storming and destroying hospitals, killing and arresting doctors and nurses, with the aim of paralyzing and freezing the work of the teams in order to increase the number of martyrs and dead, among the wounded who are waiting for treatment.
Such conditions have prompted the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) to issue a dire warning that attacks on hospitals in northern Gaza in recent days are having a devastating impact on civilians still in the besieged areas.
The Office expresses deep concern about what happened, in light of reports that the occupying army stormed the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, forcing its occupants to evacuate, and carried out attacks on and around Al-Awda and Kamal Adwan hospitals, the two other health facilities still operating on a limited basis in northern Gaza.
All these measures against hospitals, in addition to the Israeli siege on Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahia and parts of Jabalia in the North Gaza Governorate for the eightieth consecutive day, obviously create a tragic reality that indicates conditions of destruction for the lives of civilians who need hospital services urgently and urgently.
The pressure of the United Nations and its partners to reach the area on a daily basis to provide support to the thousands of people who remain there in dire conditions has not been met, and the Israeli authorities continue to reject attempts by the United Nations to coordinate humanitarian access to the besieged areas in the north, as none of the attempts coordinated by the United Nations to reach the area have been fully facilitated.
In central and southern Gaza, the office says a new assessment by partners working to alleviate hunger in Gaza found that during the first half of December, bread and legumes dominated household meals for the third month in a row, with other types of food mostly absent.
Reports indicate that 90% of households have experienced a further decline in access to food compared to last November, amid reduced availability and significantly higher prices.
These worrying health and nutritional data will undoubtedly have widespread destructive effects on the citizens of Gaza, especially since they strike them at the heart of their lives, threaten their health and reduce the amount of food they eat.
Another color and continuous scene of the Israeli war that targets livelihood and seeks to kill the wounded, shroud the sick, bury the injured, prevent them from living, and continue the starvation campaign by cutting off all means of their medicine and food.
