75 dead in two separate massacres in Beit Lahia
A medical source told Al Jazeera that about 75 Palestinians were killed, most of them women and children, in two separate massacres in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip.
The spokesman for the Civil Defense in Gaza told Al Jazeera that more than 75 people were killed in the two massacres, adding that the Civil Defense does not know much about what is happening in northern Gaza because of the Israeli blockade.
Local sources reported that the two massacres were committed against the Ahmed and Baba families, adding that ambulances and rescue teams were unable to reach the site of the massacres due to the occupation’s prevention.
The sources also said that the details of the two massacres were revealed hours after they occurred, as the occupation deliberately prevented journalists from reaching the northern Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Health said that 33 dead and 137 wounded arrived at hospitals during the past 24 hours after three massacres committed by the Israeli occupation forces.
