The presidency called, today, Friday, for an emergency meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of foreign ministers, in light of the ongoing massacres and war of extermination, starvation and displacement practiced by the Israeli occupation authorities against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the latest of which were the massacres in Beit Lahia and Nuseirat, which claimed the lives of about a hundred martyrs and dozens of wounded.

The presidency warned in a statement of the dangers of continuing these aggressive Israeli policies that separate the northern Gaza Strip from the rest of the Strip, and the continued use of the weapon of starvation against citizens with the aim of displacing them from their land and homes.

The Presidency stressed the need for immediate intervention by the international community to force the occupation authorities to stop their crimes, aggression, and genocide crimes against the Palestinian people, and to urgently and immediately deliver humanitarian aid to our people in the Gaza Strip, in implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2735 calling for an immediate ceasefire and enabling the State of Palestine to assume its full responsibilities.
