Saudi Arabia confirmed, on Sunday, that the bombing of Abu Asi School in Gaza City comes within the framework of Israel's continued "systematic targeting" of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed in a statement the Kingdom's condemnation and denunciation "in the strongest terms of the continued systematic targeting of UNRWA, its facilities and its workers by the Israeli occupation forces, the latest of which was the bombing of Abu Asi School in the Gaza Strip."

The ministry reiterated the "Kingdom's absolute rejection of the Israeli occupation's continued targeting of civilians and relief and humanitarian agencies amid the silence of the international community."

She called on the international community to "assume its responsibilities towards the ongoing Israeli violations, which increase the suffering of the Palestinian people and undermine the chances of achieving peace in the region."
