Raids on southern Lebanon, Hezbollah repels Israeli infiltration attempts
The Israeli army continued its extensive military aggression on Lebanon on Tuesday, intensifying air and artillery bombardment, coinciding with the ground incursion into Lebanon for the 51st consecutive day, while Hezbollah continues to confront Israeli forces’ incursions and shell military sites and Israeli towns in the north.
Sirens sounded in several areas in the Upper and Western Galilee, and in the town of Kiryat Shmona and its surroundings, in anticipation of the infiltration of booby-trapped drones and the launching of rocket barrages from Lebanese territory.
Hezbollah announced carrying out 22 operations against Israeli targets and sites during the last 24 hours. The resistance operations and attacks ranged between shelling with rockets and artillery shells, and targeting Israeli army gatherings, vehicles, and military bases with missiles and drones.
In addition, the Israeli Air Force launched raids on the outskirts of Tyre, Deir Kifa, Srifa, and Toul, in southern Lebanon, and carried out a raid on the outskirts of the town of Shamstar, west of Baalbek, and the town of Romin in the Nabatieh district, where the Israeli raids left martyrs and wounded among civilians.
The death toll from the Israeli aggression on Lebanon since October 8, 2023, according to a statement by the Ministry of Health, has risen to 3,189 dead and 14,078 wounded, while more than 40 Lebanese were martyred and 31 others were wounded in Israeli raids on towns in Mount Lebanon and the South and Bekaa regions.
