Israeli occupation warns the residents of 21 villages in southern Lebanon to evacuate
On Monday, the Israeli occupation army warned the residents of 21 villages in southern Lebanon to evacuate their homes immediately, in preparation for bombing them.
The Israeli army spokesman for the Arab media, Avichay Adraee, said in a post on the “X” platform that he is sending his warning to the residents of the villages of: Shehin, Jabin, Tyre Harfa, Abu Shash, Shama, Majdal Zun, Al-Mansouri, Zebqin, Al-Rashidiya, Al-Barghliya, Qasmiyya, Al-Bayada, Al-Naqoura, Bint Jbeil, Ainata, Kounin, Aitaroun, Al-Taybeh, Rabb Al-Thalathin, Markab, and Bani Hayyan.
He added: "You must evacuate your homes immediately and move to the north of the Awali River... You must evacuate without delay."
Adraee continued, without specifying a time frame for the residents to return to their homes: "We will inform you of the appropriate time to return to your homes once the appropriate conditions are available for that."
Since the start of the Israeli ground operation in southern Lebanon early last month, similar warnings have been issued to dozens of villages in southern Lebanon.
Several areas in Lebanon are witnessing a displacement movement, fleeing the ongoing Israeli raids.
After clashes with factions in Lebanon, including Hezbollah, the day after Israel launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of about 146,000 Palestinians, Tel Aviv expanded the scope of the genocide since September 23 to include most areas of Lebanon, including the capital Beirut, through air strikes, and it also began a ground invasion in the south.
Every day, Hezbollah responds by launching missiles, drones, and artillery shells targeting military sites, intelligence headquarters, military gatherings, and settlements. While Israel announces some of its human and material losses, military censorship imposes a strict blackout on most of the losses, according to observers.
The Israeli aggression on Lebanon resulted in a total of 3,189 dead and 14,078 wounded, including a large number of children and women, in addition to about 1,400,000 displaced persons. Most of the victims and displaced persons were recorded after September 23.
