Riyadh: Palestinian state is a condition for relations with Israel
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan confirmed yesterday (Wednesday) that the establishment of the State of Palestine is the first condition for establishing relations with Israel.
On the sidelines of the meeting of the "Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution", hosted by Riyadh, he stressed Saudi Arabia's rejection of the genocide being carried out by Israel in the Gaza Strip, and that the Kingdom will do everything necessary to stop the fire in Gaza and Lebanon, and reach a final solution to the Palestinian issue.
On the sidelines of the meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution in Riyadh, Bin Farhan announced Saudi Arabia's call for an Arab-Islamic summit to discuss the situation in Lebanon and Gaza.
Meanwhile, the UN Security Council yesterday expressed its rejection of “any attempts to dismantle or reduce” the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), the day after the Israeli Knesset passed a law banning its operations, reminding Israel of its international obligations. The 15 members of the Security Council unanimously affirmed in a statement “the vital role played by UNRWA in providing life-saving humanitarian assistance to Palestinian refugees… and no organization can replace it.” (Details p. 2)
