Netanyahu: Assassination attempt will not deter me or Tel Aviv from continuing our war
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Iranian agents who tried to assassinate him and his wife today committed a "grave mistake," claiming that this attempt will not deter him or Tel Aviv from continuing the war that his army is waging on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
Netanyahu sent a sharp message to Iran, saying: "Anyone who harms the citizens of Israel will pay a heavy price."
He added that Tel Aviv will continue its operations to eliminate terrorists, according to his allegations, pointing to efforts to recover detainees from Gaza and secure the return of residents of the north to their homes.
Netanyahu stressed that the war will continue until all its goals are achieved, noting that Tel Aviv seeks to change the security reality in the region for generations to come.
For its part, the Hebrew newspaper "Maariv" quoted one of the neighbors of Netanyahu's house that was targeted by a drone, saying that the residents of the neighborhood heard the sound of the plane, but they thought it was an "Israeli" plane, and the sirens were not activated.
