Hezbollah announces bombing of gatherings of soldiers in northern Israel
On Sunday, the Lebanese Hezbollah continued to bomb military sites and gatherings of soldiers in settlements in northern Israel with drones and rocket barrages.
The party said in a series of statements on the Telegram platform that its fighters launched an air attack with a squadron of drones on the "7200" maintenance and rehabilitation base south of the city of Haifa (north) and hit its targets accurately.
He added that his fighters bombed a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the settlement of "Maalot-Tarshiya" with a barrage of rockets.
The party also targeted the city of Safed (the headquarters of the army's northern front) and gatherings of Israeli soldiers in the settlement of Baram (north) with rocket salvos.
Hezbollah pointed out that its strikes came "in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, in defense of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the barbaric Israeli invasion of cities, villages, and civilians."
Since September 23, Israel has expanded the scope of the genocide it has been committing in Gaza since October 7, 2023, to include most areas of Lebanon, including the capital Beirut, through unprecedentedly violent and intense air strikes. It has also begun a ground incursion into the south, disregarding international warnings and UN resolutions.
The current Israeli escalation in Lebanon has resulted, until Saturday, in the killing of 1,204 people, the injury of 3,411, including a large number of women and children, and the displacement of more than 1.2 million people, according to Anadolu Agency’s monitoring of official Lebanese data.
Hezbollah responds to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon by firing missiles, drones and artillery shells targeting military sites and settlements across Israel.
