Hamas delegation meets Iranian president in Doha
The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" stated that a delegation from the movement, headed by Muhammad Darwish, Chairman of the movement's Shura Council, met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during his visit to the Qatari capital, Doha.
The movement added on Thursday that the two parties discussed the overall political and field developments related to the Palestinian issue, especially the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has developed into a broad aggression targeting various areas of Lebanon.
She pointed out that the delegation stressed the strategic relationship with Iran and the axis of resistance, praising the support provided to the Palestinian people in their open battle against the occupation, especially the revenge for the assassination of the martyr Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement in Tehran, through a missile attack carried out by Tehran against sites and targets of the occupation, which was an important achievement in strengthening the deterrence of the resistance front.
Hamas stated in its statement that the delegation expressed its deepest condolences for the martyrdom of Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, and a group of the party’s leaders in successive crimes committed by the occupation, as well as Major General Abbas Nilforoushan, considering that this blood will only increase everyone’s determination to continue on the same path and road towards Jerusalem.
Hamas movement stated that the delegation included a number of the movement's leaders: Khaled Meshaal, Khalil Al-Hayya, Hussam Badran, and Muhammad Nasr, while the Iranian delegation also included Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and the Republic's Ambassador to Doha, Ali Saleh Abadi.
For his part, Iranian President Pezeshkian said that the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh was one of the most painful events in his life.
Bazishkian said that Haniyeh was a guest at his swearing-in ceremony, but hours later he heard the news of his treacherous assassination, which was very painful for him.
The Iranian President stressed that the crimes committed by the occupying entity today in Gaza and Lebanon bleed the heart of every human being, explaining that this pain is doubled for Tehran, which considers the oppressed Palestinian people as brothers in religion.
Pezeshkian strongly criticized the "cunning" behavior of America and Western countries in supporting the Israeli occupation under the name of democracy and claiming to defend human rights.
