Families of Israeli prisoners: Expanding the war in the north is a death sentence for the kidnapped
Families of Israeli prisoners and detainees demonstrated outside the Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv on Saturday evening, as protests against Netanyahu's government continue to rage every weekend, demanding a prisoner exchange deal.
The families of the Israeli prisoners and detainees said during their protest in front of the Ministry of Security headquarters, "Expanding the war and transferring its burden to the north without concluding a deal is a death sentence for the kidnapped."
They added, "We ask the government to return the kidnapped soldiers first and foremost. The blood is on the hands of Netanyahu and the ministers who are sacrificing the kidnapped soldiers for political interests."
"Netanyahu decided to move the center of gravity of the war to the north and abandon the kidnapped soldiers in the death tunnels," she said.
They said, "Everyone believes that military pressure is killing the kidnapped, and that there is a deal on the table that is ready to be signed immediately, which is the deal that Netanyahu proposed in May."
They added, "Hamas agreed to the deal in July and repeated it again this week, but Netanyahu continues to insist on the empty 'Philadelphi' lie in order to thwart the deal."
This comes in conjunction with protests in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and near the home of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Caesarea and Haifa, in addition to dozens of Israeli sites and towns.
