A foreign activist was killed by the Israeli occupation forces’ bullets south of Nablus

A foreign activist died today, Friday, after being critically injured by live bullets from the Israeli occupation forces in the head in the town of Beita, south of Nablus.

The director of Rafidia Governmental Surgical Hospital in Nablus, Fouad Nafaa, announced the death of the American activist of Turkish origin, Aysenur Ezgi Eygi (26 years old).

He explained that she arrived at the hospital after being shot in the head with live bullets, with brain tissue coming out, noting that the medical teams provided her with cardiopulmonary resuscitation for a few minutes, but she died as a result of her critical injury.

Medical sources reported that a foreign activist was injured by live bullets from the occupation forces in the head, and her condition was described as critical, during the occupation forces’ suppression of the weekly anti-settlement march in Beita. She was transferred to Rafidia Hospital.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces suppressed the Beita march, which led to the outbreak of clashes, during which live bullets, sound bombs and toxic tear gas were fired at the participants, which resulted in the injury of the female activist with live bullets in the head, and a young man (18 years old) with shrapnel from live bullets in the thigh.

The sources indicated that the activist holds American citizenship, is of Turkish origin, and volunteers within the "Faz'a" campaign to support and protect Palestinian farmers from the violations of the occupation and settlers.

The occupation's murder of the activist Eiji brings to mind the crime of the death of the American activist Rachel Corrie, who was killed by the occupation's military vehicles in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, on March 16, 2003, while she was standing in solidarity with our people and trying to prevent the demolition of Palestinian homes.
