Israel prevents UN assessment mission from reaching Jenin

UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said that the Israeli occupation army refused the access of a UN assessment mission to the city of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.

Dujarric explained in his daily press conference tonight that the loss of Palestinian lives increased as a result of the Israeli army's use of "lethal methods of warfare."

He added that the barriers preventing access to the West Bank have affected humanitarian aid, and that the entry of ambulances and medical teams has been delayed for a week.

Dujarric pointed out that the United Nations is closely following developments in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, indicating that "developments are going in the wrong direction."

For the eighth consecutive day, the occupation army continues its aggression on the northern occupied West Bank, which is the most extensive since 2002, including several cities, and leaving dozens of martyrs, wounded, and detainees.
