A child was injured by shrapnel from Israeli occupation forces’ bullets in Tulkarm
A child was injured, on Monday evening, by shrapnel from Israeli occupation forces' bullets, during their ongoing aggression on the city and camp of Tulkarm.
According to local sources, ambulance crews dealt with a 12-year-old girl who was injured by live bullet shrapnel while she was in her home in the eastern neighborhood of the city, noting that she was transferred to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital.
The sources added that the occupation forces stationed at the entrance to the hospital stopped the ambulance and forced its crew to open its doors to see who was inside, before the crew was able to take the girl to the hospital's emergency department.
The Red Crescent Society said that the occupation continues its siege of hospitals in Tulkarm, imposes a tight siege on Tulkarm camp, and works to destroy infrastructure and homes.
Large forces of the occupation army, supported by dozens of heavy vehicles and bulldozers, stormed the city of Tulkarm this afternoon from its western entrance.
The occupation sent military reinforcements amidst intensive low-altitude reconnaissance flights, imposed a tight siege on the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital and the Israa Specialized Hospital, and hindered the work of ambulances by searching them and checking the identities of their crews and patients while transporting them to hospitals.
It is noteworthy that the occupation forces launched an aggression on the city of Tulkarm and its two camps, Tulkarm and Nour Shams, at dawn last Wednesday, which lasted 48 hours, and resulted in the death of 4 citizens, a number of wounded, and great destruction to the infrastructure and citizens’ property.
