CNN reported on Tuesday, citing informed sources involved in the negotiations, that after the killing of the six kidnapped Israelis, a phone conversation took place between the mediators regarding moving the deal forward.

The network quoted the same sources as saying that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "blew everything up in one speech."

The United States will present what is described as the final proposal this week to salvage a possible deal.

Netanyahu said last night in a press conference that Israel will not abandon the Philadelphi corridor.
