Hamas: The 6 prisoners whose bodies were found by Israel in a tunnel in Rafah were killed by “Israeli bombing”

  1. A prominent leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Izzat al-Rishq, said today (Sunday) that the six prisoners whose bodies were found by the Israeli army in a tunnel in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip "were killed by Israeli bombing," noting that his movement was keen on their lives.

  2. Al-Rashq added that the six prisoners "were only killed by Israeli bombing," noting that US President Joe Biden "must, if he cares about the lives of the prisoners, stop supporting Israel with money, weapons, and pressure to end the war immediately."

  3. Al-Rishq continued, "Hamas was more concerned about the lives of the prisoners than Biden, and that is why it agreed to his proposal and the Security Council resolution, in particular, while Netanyahu rejected them," adding that "the Biden administration surrendered to (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu's conditions, which aimed to obstruct reaching an agreement, in order to preserve his authority."

  4. He added, "The one who bears responsibility for the death of the prisoners held by the movement is Israel, which insists on continuing the war and evading reaching a ceasefire agreement, with the bias, support and partnership of the American administration."

  5. Al-Rashq held the US administration and President Biden himself responsible for the war in the Gaza Strip.

  6. "History will remember Biden as he leaves the White House as having been a partner and supporter of war criminals in Israel," he said.

  7. The Israeli army announced early today that it had recovered the bodies of 6 Israeli hostages from a tunnel in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

  8. Army spokesman Avichay Adraee said in a statement that army forces and the General Security Service (Shabak) found the bodies of the six kidnapped men, adding that they "were kidnapped on October 7 and then killed by Hamas in Gaza."
