An Israeli soldier was killed and others were injured in an ambush in Jenin
For the fourth consecutive day, the Israeli army continued a large-scale military operation in the northern West Bank, which it says aims to dismantle resistance cells in Jenin, Tulkarm and Nablus. So far, the operation has resulted in the martyrdom of 20 Palestinians and the arrest of others.
On the fourth day of what was called the "Summer Camps" operation, an Israeli soldier was killed in clashes in the city of Jenin, while the occupation closed the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron after the double operation carried out by two Palestinians.
The following are the latest developments in the West Bank:

Israeli media sources reported that an Israeli soldier was killed and others were injured today, Saturday, in an ambush in the Jenin camp. The sources described what happened as a "difficult security incident," while reports indicated that Israeli helicopters transported injured soldiers to hospitals inside the Green Line.
Al Jazeera said that the images published by the Jenin Battalion and eyewitnesses from inside the camp show that an Israeli force fell into an ambush set up by the resistance.
A leading source in the Al-Qassam Brigades told Al Jazeera, "What the mujahideen carried out in the Al-Damj neighbourhood is a message to the enemy that its aggression against Jenin will have harsh consequences."
This morning, clashes broke out in parts of the city of Jenin and its camp between resistance fighters and the Israeli army, amidst the sound of explosions, clashes, and helicopters flying overhead.
Al Jazeera's correspondent described the clashes in Jenin camp as fierce, noting that he heard the sounds of huge explosions in the camp's Al-Damj neighbourhood.
Clashes erupted after large Israeli forces stormed areas of the city and its camp, and the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that one person was injured by Israeli soldiers' bullets.
In separate statements, the Al-Qassam Brigades, Al-Aqsa Brigades, and Al-Quds Brigades announced that their fighters were confronting the invading forces.
The Israeli forces sent successive reinforcements to Jenin and its camp, besieged the city's main hospital, and carried out bulldozing operations at the main entrance leading to the eastern neighborhood, and also demolished the wall and gate of the only cemetery in the same neighborhood.
It also blew up the homes of Palestinian citizens in the Jabriyat neighborhood adjacent to the camp, and carried out a campaign of raids on other homes.
Video clips showed the massive destruction caused by the occupation forces in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin. Activists also published video clips of Israeli violations, including the desecration of a mosque in the eastern neighborhood and turning it into a military site.
Palestinians from the eastern part of Jenin were forced to flee due to the Israeli attack.
In the same governorate, occupation soldiers surrounded a house in the town of Kafr Dan in an attempt to arrest those inside, while the Qassam Brigades and Al-Aqsa Brigades said that their fighters were engaged in violent clashes with the forces that had penetrated the town.
Nablus
Clashes erupted last night between Palestinian youths and Israeli occupation forces on Mount Sabih, south of the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
Also in Nablus, a settler opened fire on the main street of the town of Hawara.
Tulkarm
The Israeli occupation forces stormed areas inside the city of Tulkarm and its suburbs again, 24 hours after withdrawing, following a two-day military operation that targeted Palestinian resistance fighters and destroyed the infrastructure in the city’s Nur Shams and Tulkarm camps.
Hebron
The Israeli army stormed several neighborhoods and towns in Hebron in the southern West Bank and arrested at least two Palestinians. It also closed most of the city's entrances following the double operation that took place yesterday, Friday, in the settlements of "Gush Etzion" and "Karmei Tzur", which resulted in the injury of 3 Israeli soldiers, one of whom was a brigade commander, and the martyrdom of its perpetrators.
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine blessed the operation, and stressed that the operation is a message that the resistance is ongoing and escalating.
Following the double operation, the occupation army announced that it had closed the Ibrahimi Mosque, and said that only Jewish worshippers would be allowed to enter it.
In another development, settlers stole 300 heads of sheep, destroyed water tanks and mobile homes of three Palestinian families, and assaulted a number of residents east of the town of Sa'ir, northeast of Hebron.
Bethlehem
Clashes erupted, including gunfire and tear gas, in the town of Husan, west of Bethlehem, after Israeli forces stormed the town last night.
The raid came after Palestinian youths threw a Molotov cocktail at a settler's car.
In the town of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem, settlers carried out attacks on Palestinian property, including uprooting olive trees and destroying water lines used for drinking and irrigation.
Israeli threat
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said the army is determined to continue fighting and using force against what he described as Israel's near and distant enemies.
Galant added, in statements he made during his inspection of the forces participating in the "Summer Camps" operation, that anyone who tries to harm Israel's security and does not surrender will be targeted and eliminated, according to his expression.
