West Bank: Injuries and arrests in settlers and occupation forces attacks south of Hebron

A number of citizens were injured and others were arrested, Sunday evening, in an attack by settlers and Israeli occupation forces on the village of Al-Buwaib in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

The head of the Birin village council (one of the villages of Masafer Yatta), Farid Burqan, reported that a group of armed settlers, under the protection of the occupation forces, tried to steal sheep from the village of Al-Buwaib. When the residents confronted them, the settlers attacked them with stones and clubs, which resulted in six citizens being injured and bruised. Three of them were arrested by the occupation forces and transported in an Israeli ambulance, while the other injured were taken to Yatta Governmental Hospital.

Burqan added that the settlers and occupation soldiers also arrested nine citizens from the village, from the Al-Mahaniya and Duajneh families, and after assaulting them, they were taken to the "Bani Khaifer" settlement, which was built on citizens' lands east of Yatta. The settlers also seized an agricultural tractor belonging to the citizen Izzat Duajneh.
