She denied the Israeli media.. A former Israeli prisoner confirms that she was not beaten in Gaza
Former Israeli prisoner Noa Argamani denied, on Friday, the Hebrew media's account of her being beaten by members of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, during her detention in the Gaza Strip.
Arghmani said that she was not beaten and her hair was not cut during her captivity by the resistance in Gaza, adding via Instagram: “I cannot ignore what happened here in the media during the past 24 hours. Things were taken out of context.”
Modification of statements
“I wasn’t beaten and my hair wasn’t cut, I was in a building that was bombed by the Israeli air force,” she said. “The exact quote is: This weekend after the shooting, as I said, I was wounded all over my head. I was wounded all over my body.”
"I confirm that I was not beaten, but I was injured all over my body as a result of the building collapsing on me," she added. "As a victim of the events of October 7, I will not allow myself to be a victim of the media again."
Arghmani was referring to her testimony before Japanese diplomats in Tokyo on Thursday.
She said that the Israeli media took what she said to the diplomats out of context after it was reported that she was beaten and had her hair cut while she was held captive in Gaza.
The operation to recover Arghmani during a major military operation in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip resulted in a massacre that led to the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of Palestinian civilians.
"Disguised as an Arab woman"
In previous statements, Argamani said that she "was in captivity with Yossi Sharaabi and Itai Versky, who were killed in an Israeli army bombardment of Gaza." She also spoke at the time about an Israeli army attack on a house where she was previously held, adding: "I saw the missile hit the house, and I was sure I would die, but I survived."
She said that Hamas members moved her between houses and allowed her to go out from time to time to get some fresh air, while she was disguised as an Arab woman.
On June 8, the Israeli army managed to recover 4 detainees in a special operation in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, including Noa Argamani.
An Israeli security delegation will participate on Friday in a new round of negotiations in Cairo for a truce in the Gaza Strip accompanied by the release of prisoners, while the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip continues.
After more than ten months of aggression that destroyed the Palestinian sector and left tens of thousands of martyrs, a new round of negotiations is taking place in Cairo, mediated by Washington, Doha and Cairo, between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas".
