President Abbas visits Türkiye tomorrow and delivers an important speech

President Mahmoud Abbas will visit the Turkish capital, Ankara, tomorrow, Thursday, in response to an official invitation to deliver a speech before the General Assembly of the Turkish Parliament, in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.


The Turkish Parliament's General Assembly will meet exceptionally on Thursday, during its ongoing recess until October 1, at the invitation of Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş.


President Abbas will deliver a speech at the General Assembly session to express the Turkish Parliament's strong support for our people and their cause and to ensure that the voice of our oppressed people is heard by the world.


During his visit to the Turkish Parliament, the President will also hold a bilateral meeting with Kurtulmuş, and after the bilateral meeting, the President and Kurtulmuş will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Parliament.


Parliament Speaker Kurtulmuş will open the General Assembly session at 3:00 p.m. Palestine time, and after the opening speech, President Abbas will take the floor, where he will deliver a speech on the efforts being made to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.


Turkish President Erdogan will also listen to President Abbas' speech in the General Assembly Hall of the Parliament. Afterwards, the President, his Turkish counterpart, and the Speaker of the Parliament will visit the Palestine-themed photo exhibition in the Hall of Honor of the Parliament.


The President and his accompanying delegation are scheduled to meet with the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament later at the Parliament headquarters.
