Britain, France and Germany call for immediate ceasefire in Gaza Strip
Britain, France and Germany called on Monday for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and for aid to be delivered to the Strip's residents without hindrance.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stressed in a joint statement that "there can be no further delay in reaching a ceasefire in Gaza."
"We are deeply concerned about the escalating tensions in the region and are united in our commitment to de-escalation and regional stability," the statement said.
The three countries explained that they worked with all parties to avoid escalation, stressing that they would spare no effort to calm tensions and find a path towards stability.
