Filing a legal memorandum with the ICC Prosecutor regarding the massacre of the Tab’een School

Yesterday, the international team of lawyers assigned by the Palestinian Bar Association to the International Criminal Court submitted a legal memorandum to the Office of the International Prosecutor, attaching to it a document portfolio documenting the painful scenes resulting from the occupation’s massacre at dawn on Saturday, which targeted the Al-Tabi’in School, which houses displaced persons in the Al-Daraj neighborhood east of Gaza City, and which claimed the lives of dozens of martyrs and wounded.

Dr. Faisal Khazal, head of the international lawyers’ team, said in a statement yesterday: “We have previously explained in our previous memoranda that followed the complaint submitted on December 6, 2023 to the Office of the International Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court that any delay in the judicial precautionary measures that must be taken urgently, and laxity in the judicial process, lead to more innocent lives being taken and an exacerbation of the crimes and attacks committed against the Palestinian people.”

He added: "The delay in issuing the arrest warrants announced by the International Prosecutor opens the door to exerting many pressures on the International Criminal Court, which has already been exerted on the Office of the International Prosecutor based on what he personally stated to the international media."
