West Baank: Israeli settlers close road with iron gate south of Hebron
Armed settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, closed the road leading to one of the communities that was forcibly evacuated, on Thursday evening. Other settlers carried out provocative tours and actions against citizens in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
According to local sources, a group of armed settlers, under the protection of the occupation forces, set up an iron gate on the road leading to the abandoned “Khirbet Samra” and closed it, thus preventing citizens from reaching that area and the eastern part of “Shaab al-Batm”, for the purpose of seizing it for the benefit of settlement expansion.
It is worth noting that the residents of Khirbet Samra were forcibly displaced last year due to the ongoing attacks by settlers and occupation forces on the residents and their property, which posed a great danger to their lives.
Other sources added that the settler, named "Itshar Man", accompanied by a number of his family members, toured and carried out provocative acts around the homes of citizens in the Touba area in Masafer Yatta.
The settler sat in front of those houses and started drinking alcohol in front of the residents and their children.
It is noteworthy that this settler lives with his extremist family in a settlement outpost bearing his name, which he established on the lands of citizens in the areas of “Al-Tha’la” and “Al-Ain Al-Baida”, and he seeks, with the protection and support of the occupation forces, to expand that outpost by seizing additional lands from the citizens’ lands.
