The Israeli government: Our policy of maintaining the status quo at Al-Aqsa has not changed
A statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office said in response to the statements of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir that "Israel's policy of maintaining the status quo on the Temple Mount (Al-Aqsa Mosque) has not and will not change."
On Wednesday morning, Ben Gvir said that he represents the Israeli political level and that he allows Jews to perform prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
Netanyahu's government claims that it is committed to the "status quo" at Al-Aqsa, meaning that Muslims are allowed to pray there, and non-Muslims are allowed to visit it only.
