On Monday, Israeli Army Radio reported the death of the perpetrator of a stabbing attack in the town of Netiv Haasara, located in the area adjacent to the Gaza Strip, announcing that he was a Canadian Muslim citizen who entered Israel as a tourist.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation initially said that “the nationality of the person who carried out the stabbing operation is American,” announcing his “neutralization.”
The (official) authority stated in a brief statement, “An American citizen arrived at the Netiv Haasara gate and shouted against the massacre committed by Israel in Gaza.”
She added that the attacker “pulled out a knife and tried to stab soldiers and security personnel at the entrance to the town gate,” announcing that the attacker had been “neutralized” by the Israeli forces present at the gate.
For its part, the Israeli police announced in a separate statement that “two people were injured” following the incident, noting that the perpetrator “was neutralized.”
In turn, the Hebrew Channel 12 (privately) said that “the attacker was killed,” without further details.
