Thousands of families were displaced from eastern Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip

Thousands of Palestinian families were displaced from the eastern regions of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, following the continuous bombing by occupation aircraft, which led to the death and injury of dozens.


The Civil Defense Directorate in the Gaza Strip reported that the occupation reduced the humanitarian area in the Khan Yunis area, south of the Strip, from 45 square kilometers to 28 square kilometers after removing many humanitarian blocks.


The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip explained that the area of the safe zone in the Central Governorate has decreased by 20 km, so that the total safe zone is 48 square kilometers out of 65 square kilometers, inhabited by one million seven hundred thousand Palestinians, the highest human density in the world.


She confirmed that she was surprised by the Israeli occupation's reduction of the humanitarian space in Khan Yunis Governorate, and that the ongoing forced displacement directly affects its direct services and prevents its crews from reaching dangerous areas.


She stressed the need to put an end to the ongoing forced displacement, which has caused the loss of lives and violated the right to housing, the right to life, and economic and social rights in light of an applied siege that prevents the entry of tents and the citizens’ needs of food, clothing, and drink.


Earlier, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, issued a statement in light of the occupation’s intensification of its aggression and bombing of civilians in the eastern areas of the city of Khan Yunis, which led to dozens of martyrs and wounded, and the displacement of families.


Hamas called on the international community and the United Nations to take urgent action to stop the series of systematic killings against the Palestinian people, who are being subjected to genocide that is taking place in full view of the world.


In its statement, Hamas affirmed that the Palestinian people will remain steadfast and cling to their land, and the resistance will remain committed to its commitment in the face of this criminal enemy that seeks to displace the people and obliterate the national cause.

She also stressed that Gaza will remain unbreakable, until the occupation is defeated on the path to freedom, return, and self-determination.


The Israeli occupation army intensified its aggression against the eastern areas of the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, on Monday, which led to the death and injury of dozens.


In addition, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that the toll of the Israeli aggression had risen to 39,006 martyrs and 89,818 wounded since the seventh of last October.


Gaza Health said that the Israeli occupation committed 3 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, with 23 dead and 91 injured arriving at hospitals during the past 24 hours.


It indicated that the toll of what arrived at Nasser Medical Complex as a result of the Israeli occupation’s targeting and massacres of Khan Yunis Governorate from the hours of this morning until this moment is 37 martyrs and more than 120 injured, including serious cases.
