9,655 detainees in the West Bank and Jerusalem since last October 7
The Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club said on Sunday that the Israeli occupation forces have arrested more than 9,655 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, since the start of the Israeli war on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The Commission and the Prisoners' Club explained in a joint statement that this toll includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
During the past two days, the occupation forces arrested at least 30 Palestinians from the West Bank, including a woman and former prisoners, and the arrests were distributed among the governorates of Ramallah, Hebron, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, Jenin, Jericho, and Jerusalem.
During the arrest campaigns, the occupation forces continue to carry out widespread raids and torture, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of Palestinian homes.
