Netanyahu: “The war will continue until it achieves its goals.”

Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that the war (aggression on the Gaza Strip) will continue until its basic goals are achieved, which include “eliminating Hamas” and returning detainees to their homes, even if it takes a long time, he said.

Netanyahu indicated, in his statements on Thursday, that his government would not allow the return of “militants” to the northern Gaza Strip, and would work to eliminate weapons smuggling operations into the Strip.

He stressed his commitment to the four principles he announced previously, noting that the first phase of the deal will witness the release of a larger number of living detainees.

Netanyahu said, "Every deal must allow Israel to return to fighting if necessary. Whoever launches attacks against us will die, and this includes the situation in the north, which we will change."

For his part, the Minister of Defense in the Israeli occupation government, Yoav Galant, said that the occupation forces have been fighting for 9 months in Gaza, the northern front, and the West Bank in a high spirit to achieve the goals of the war.

Gallant added, "We must all share the burdens placed on the Israeli people. We did not fulfill our responsibility to defend the population on October 7."

He called for the formation of an official, objective investigation committee and for it to investigate everyone, the government, the army, and the security forces, and to investigate with him, the prime minister, the chief of staff, and the Shin Bet.

For his part, Chief of Staff of the occupation army, Herzi Halevy, said that the results of the war in Gaza will affect many generations to come.

Halevy added that Tel Aviv will continue until it subjugates the enemy, kills Hamas leaders, and destroys military infrastructure.

He stressed that everyone's task at this stage is to lead with strong determination in the confrontation to achieve the goals of the war, and that the war will not stop until the detainees are safely returned to their homes.

Halevi continued: “Today we presented the results of the investigation into the fighting on October 7 and 8 to the residents of Kibbutz Be’eri to draw lessons and prevent a recurrence of what happened.”

The Chief of Staff of the Israeli occupation army, Herzi Halevy, said that the results of the current war will affect many generations to come, stressing “the continuation of military operations, killing the leaders of the Hamas movement, and destroying the movement’s military infrastructure,” he said.

Halevy pointed out that the current stage requires a strong determination from everyone to lead the confrontation and achieve the goals of the war, stressing that the army will not stop until the detainees are safely returned to their homes.

Halevi reported that the results of the investigation into the fighting on October 7 and 8 were presented to the residents of Kibbutz Be'eri to draw lessons and prevent a recurrence of the events, noting that the residents of Kibbutz Be'eri defended themselves when the army was late in arriving to defend them.
