West Bank: Israeli occupation continues its aggression against Tulkarm amid widespread destruction of infrastructure

Today, Tuesday, the Israeli occupation forces continued their aggression against the city of Tulkarm and the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, causing widespread destruction to infrastructure and citizens’ property.


According to local sources, these forces pushed more of their vehicles towards Nour Shams camp, which they imposed a strict siege on, amid bulldozing and destruction, with continuous and intense reconnaissance flights.


She added that, since two o'clock in the morning, the occupation bulldozers have been bulldozing and destroying the infrastructure in the camp's neighborhoods, specifically Al-Mahajar neighborhood and the Al-Joura area in Al-Manshiya neighborhood, and Jabal Al-Salheen. They also deliberately vandalized public and private property, including homes and shops, along Nablus Street adjacent to the entrances to the camp, which is the main entrance to the city. Tulkarm from its eastern side.


The occupation forces also continued their storming of the city of Tulkarm, and their siege of the Tulkarm camp, since the early hours of dawn, amid a curfew.


The occupation vehicles, accompanied by 5 military bulldozers, stormed Nour Shams camp at dawn, passing through Al-Sikka Street and Aktaba roundabout, and were stationed near Al-Maslakh neighborhood, coinciding with the ongoing storming of the city and Tulkarm camp, and pushed more military reinforcements towards it, and imposed a tight siege on it.


Our correspondent reported that the occupation bulldozers destroyed citizens’ property and infrastructure as they moved towards the camp, specifically on Al-Sikka Street, the vicinity of the martyr Saif Abu Lebda roundabout at the entrance to the main camp, and the vicinity of the Nour Shams cemetery, in addition to bulldozing the vicinity of the Yunus roundabout in the northern neighborhood of the city and sabotaging a water line in the area. The occupation forces fired random bullets in the vicinity of Nour Shams camp, causing a power outage in parts of the camp after one of the electricity transformers supplying it was hit, while the sounds of explosions were heard inside the camp.


Previously, a large number of occupation vehicles and heavy bulldozers stormed the city from its western axis, amid intense flights of reconnaissance aircraft in the sky of the city and its camps at a low altitude.


The occupation patrols roamed the streets of the city, specifically Al-Murabitin Mosque Street, Al-Alimi Roundabout (the Courts), Khadouri Roundabout, Al-Sikka Street, Nablus Street, and the western, eastern and northern neighborhoods, towards the roads leading to Tulkarm camp.


The occupation forces pushed more of their heavy vehicles to all entrances to the city, specifically at the Jabara military checkpoints in the south, and in Annab military checkpoints in the east, in addition to the “Netsani Oz” gate west of Tulkarm.


The occupation forces surrounded the Thabet Thabet Governmental and Al-Israa Specialized Hospitals in the city.


The occupation forces deployed their snipers on a number of high-rise buildings in various neighborhoods of the city, while they stormed Al-Aqsa neighborhood in the Shweika suburb, north of Tulkarm, amid the sounds of intense gunfire.


The occupation forces imposed a siege on Tulkarm camp, and strengthened their patrols at its entrances, specifically the northern, eastern and southern.


The occupation forces detained the press crews while they were covering the events in the vicinity of the Al-Younis roundabout in the northern neighborhood of the city and confiscated their identities. They also stopped a citizen’s vehicle at the Shweika roundabout and searched it and checked the identities of its passengers, without any arrests being reported.


The occupation forces caused significant disruption to the Internet networks in the city and its camps.
