Thousands of Israelis stage a sit-in, demanding early elections and an exchange deal
Thousands of Israelis demonstrated today in several areas to demand the conclusion of a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas, and the holding of early parliamentary elections, raising huge banners reading “Deal Now,” according to Hebrew media.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that thousands of Israelis demonstrated in a number of areas, including the Karkur Junction, Amq Hefer (north), and the city of Rehovot (centre).
The demonstrators raised huge banners reading “Deal Now.”
The demonstrators stressed the necessity of conducting an exchange deal “as soon as possible,” and “not to miss the opportunity this time,” according to the same newspaper.
The demonstrators demanded early parliamentary elections in Israel.
