The negotiation ball is in Netanyahu's court

The Prime Minister of the Occupation Government, Benjamin Netanyahu, is still a major player in the negotiation match, whose rounds and chapters extend far beyond the original time, and even exceed all the matches and fights, due to the evasions and tricks it entails and are enveloped in the personal and partisan policies of Netanyahu, who must accept the proposals and observations of the Hamas movement and head for a deal. An exchange, to end at least one half of this fight, may bring with it mutual and sustainable calm... followed by another decisive half that leads to an agreement on most issues...

Yesterday, Netanyahu entered the political and security cabinet meeting carrying a very heavy message from US President Joe Biden stating the necessity of heading for an exchange deal, but he clashed with the extremist naysayers in his government, as usual, and hence he must resolve this conflict that has been going on for nine months.

Informed Israeli sources, while declaring optimism regarding the positive response provided by the Hamas movement, through which it scored a direct goal against Netanyahu, explained that even if the Israeli Prime Minister went to the deal after he gave the green light yesterday to the negotiating team to leave today for Doha, the negotiations might still take place. It will be complicated and difficult, and this is because Hamas is still negotiating in order to obtain its just demands for the army’s complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, even from the Philadelphia axis, where Israel seeks to continue its presence, in addition to the trends towards creating a complete atmosphere of calm, and this will not happen overnight. There are many controversial issues, and from here Netanyahu will emerge again as a player in this confrontation, in the face of his efforts to please Biden, who called him yesterday, and his efforts to preserve his government coalition, so that he is not exposed to a severe blow within this complex equation..

Netanyahu is in a final and difficult test before the Israeli public, which threatens to take millions into the streets if Netanyahu, under pressure from extremists in his government, fails the exchange deal. Therefore, his fate is a red card and removal from the political arena, but his great deception may take control of the scene, and thus he will survive again and remain in power. Sticking to his game against all trends, as he has done since the beginning of the war.

Netanyahu explicitly announced yesterday, during the call that took place between him and US President Joe Biden, that Israel is heading to achieve what he described as all the goals of the war, and here the negative role that he is constantly trying to pass is highlighted, as he did throughout the previous negotiations in attempts to thwart the exchange deal and sacrifice the Israeli detainees, and therefore the ball is on. It is still in Netanyahu's court waiting to be kicked towards the next goal. Will he choose the deal under duress, or will he continue the war of revenge?
