Israeli forces and settlers bulldoze and burn lands in Salfit and Hebron

Today, Wednesday, settlers bulldozed and burned citizens’ lands in Salfit and Hebron.

According to local sources, a number of settlers began this morning to bulldoze areas of Wadi Qana lands, northwest of Salfit, along the main street in the “Al-Bassa” area, which is considered the center of the valley and a place frequently visited by visitors.

The sources indicated that the aim of the bulldozing work is to place a fence along the road to isolate the southern area, the Ain al-Bassa spring and the resource from the surroundings of the valley, to be a buffer zone for the benefit of the Yakir and Novim colonists.

In Hebron, a group of settlers burned between 200-300 dunums of citizens’ lands planted with olive trees and fruitful almonds, in “Khallet al-Bir” in the Taibe area adjacent to the two settlements, which is owned by a number of the town’s families.

Settlers also carried out sweeping operations of citizens’ lands in “Marhan Bir al-Majd” in the “Al-Hardash” area threatened by settlement, on which, after the seventh of last October, they installed a number of “caravans” and established a colonial outpost on them.

In the town of Beit Ula, northwest of Hebron, the occupation forces bulldozed approximately 2.5 dunums of land belonging to Wael Farasha, uprooted all the olive trees and others, and destroyed the agricultural facilities on it, claiming that it was located in areas classified as “C” and that its owner had been notified previously.
