Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday from the Kiryat Shmona settlement adjacent to the Lebanese border, “The land has been burned here, and we are prepared for a very intensive operation in Lebanon.”

Netanyahu said during his visit to Kiryat Shmona in the morning: “Yesterday the earth burned here and I am happy that you put out the fire, but the earth burned in Lebanon as well.”

He added: "We are ready for a very strong operation in the north."

During the visit, Netanyahu received an overview of the operational situation, recent events in the region, the progress of the defensive battle and the measures being taken to defend the local communities and residents of the north, according to the Ynet website.
