Action Aid demands an end to the targeting of Al Awda Hospital in the Gaza Strip

ActionAid International called on world leaders to intervene urgently in the critical situation facing Al Awda Hospital in Jabalia Camp in the Gaza Strip.

It explained in a statement issued on Tuesday that the hospital is currently under siege by the Israeli occupation army, as its siege has prevented access to or exit from it, and has also reduced its ability to provide basic medical services in northern Gaza.

Acting Director of Al Awda Hospital, Dr. Muhammad Salha, said that the hospital is under siege again by the occupation army, with gunfire and shelling in its vicinity, and ambulances are unable to leave the hospital and the injured are unable to reach it, which is considered the only hospital in northern Gaza that It still provides maternity and orthopedic services.

Last December, the hospital was subjected to a siege that lasted for 18 days, during which three medical staff in the hospital were killed by occupation snipers, and the hospital’s capacity was severely damaged due to the bombing of the housing floors.
