The Israeli army continued its air, land and sea attacks on various areas in the Gaza Strip, today, Sunday, as battles intensified in several areas. The Israeli army announced the killing of an officer with the rank of major from the Paratroopers Brigade, who was wounded last Wednesday, in battles in northern Gaza.

As the Israeli war on Gaza enters its 226th day, violent battles have been taking place for days between Palestinian resistance factions and Israeli army forces in several axes, most notably the axes east of Rafah in the south of the Strip, and east of Jabalia in the north. Israeli aircraft intensified their raids on residential areas, and Israeli artillery bombed populated areas, shelter centers and residential areas, causing dozens of martyrs and hundreds of injuries during the past 24 hours.

The pace of operations by Palestinian factions against Israeli army forces increased in the incursion areas, resulting in more deaths and injuries among its soldiers, as the Israeli army announced the killing of two soldiers and the injury of 4 others in battles in the southern Gaza Strip.
