War on Gaza: 7 Israeli soldiers killed in a Hamas operation in Jabalia
Today, Tuesday, the Palestinian resistance announced a series of operations during which it killed Israeli soldiers and destroyed vehicles in Jabalia and east of Rafah in the northern and southern Gaza Strip.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Resistance Movement (Hamas), said that its fighters were able, in a complex operation, to target a Merkava tank with an “Al-Yassin 105” shell, leaving its crew dead and wounded.
Al-Qassam added that its fighters then killed 7 Israeli soldiers who were behind the targeted vehicle from zero distance east of the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Al-Qassam Brigades also announced the sniper shooting of an Israeli soldier east of the city of Jabalia.
In the same axis, its fighters targeted a military bulldozer and bombed crowds of occupation forces with missiles in several locations.
The Al-Qassam Brigades broadcast pictures that it said were of its fighters clashing with occupation soldiers and vehicles east of Jabalia camp.
For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, said that its fighters were able this morning to snipe an Israeli soldier holed up in a building, and targeted an Israeli force holed up inside a residential apartment with anti-personnel bombs in the Jabalia camp.
The brigades added that its fighters lured a large, private Israeli force into a complex and complex ambush and finished it off from point zero with appropriate weapons, high-explosive engineering devices, and anti-personnel shells. They also targeted a military bulldozer with an explosive device in the Jabalia camp as well.
Two days ago, the Israeli army began a new incursion east of Jabalia after saying that Hamas was reorganizing its ranks in the region.
Targeting soldiers and vehicles
In the south of the Gaza Strip, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced today the destruction of an Israeli troop carrier with an “Al-Yassin 105” shell, leaving its crew dead and wounded east of Rafah.
Al-Qassam said that helicopters landed to evacuate the dead and wounded soldiers in the Al-Salam neighborhood, east of Rafah.
It also announced that 7 Israeli Merkava tanks were targeted with “Al-Yassin 105” shells and “Shawaz” devices in the vicinity of the Rafah crossing, east of the city, and in Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip.
The military wing of the Hamas movement also announced that its fighters targeted 4 Israeli vehicles, including troop carriers and bulldozers, with "Shawwad" charges and "Al-Yassin 105" shells, east of the city of Rafah, and in Jabalia to the north.
The Al-Qassam Brigades said that its fighters blew up a tunnel opening that had been booby-trapped in advance by an Israeli engineering force that tried to enter the tunnel opening and cause its members to be killed or wounded in the vicinity of the Al-Quds station, east of Rafah.
She added that her fighters also detonated a pre-rigged house in an Israeli special force, killing and wounding its members in the same area.
In this context, Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that Israeli helicopters landed amidst the firing of smoke bombs east of Rafah.
A week ago, the Israeli occupation forces began a military operation east of the city, causing the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.
In the center of the Gaza Strip, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced that they bombed the forces advancing north of the Central Governorate, near the Wadi Gaza Bridge, with mortar shells.
This comes amid clashes between the resistance and the occupation forces in several areas, including Al-Mughraqa, in addition to the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City in the north.
Occupation losses
For its part, the Israeli army announced today that 28 soldiers were injured in the battles in the Gaza Strip during the past hours, some of them seriously.
The occupation army had previously announced that 22 soldiers had been injured during the past 24 hours, including 15 soldiers who were injured during the battles taking place inside the Gaza Strip and 7 who were injured in other locations, most notably the northern front on the border with Lebanon.
Al Jazeera's correspondent said that the Israeli army announced that 95 soldiers were injured in the battles in the Gaza Strip since the end of last week.
For its part, Israeli news sites reported that military helicopters transported injured people from inside Gaza in the last hours to a number of hospitals in the Tel Aviv and occupied Jerusalem areas.
Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that sirens sounded this afternoon in Sderot and its environs in the Gaza Strip.
The Yedioth Ahronoth website confirmed that the sirens in Sderot and the missile interceptions occurred during a march in the city demanding the return of settlement in the Gaza Strip. The Al-Qassam Brigades announced this morning that they targeted the city of Ashkelon with a missile barrage in response to the occupation massacres in the Gaza Strip.
