UNRWA: 360,000 displaced people from Rafah during the past week
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that nearly 360,000 people have been displaced from Rafah since the first evacuation order was issued a week ago.
It added in a statement issued on the “X” platform, today, Monday, that the bombing operations and other evacuation orders in northern Gaza led to further displacement and fear among thousands of families.
UNRWA confirmed that there is nowhere to go, and that there is no safety without a ceasefire.
The Israeli occupation forces continue to close the Rafah border crossing and the Karam Abu Salem commercial crossing in the southern Gaza Strip, for the eighth day in a row, which threatens to exacerbate the humanitarian catastrophe that the besieged Strip is suffering from.
These forces expanded their ground and air attacks in all governorates of the Gaza Strip after demanding the displacement of people from large areas in Jabalia, north of the Strip, and east and south of the city of Rafah, and their incursion into the south of Gaza City and east of Khan Yunis.
The Israeli occupation continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since the seventh of last October, which resulted in the death of 35,034 citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of 78,755 others, in an infinite toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble. .
