“Get out, you are a criminal.” A video documents a sharp verbal attack on Ben Gvir
A video clip circulated on social media platforms captured the harassment faced by Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir, during a memorial service in a cemetery in Ashdod.
The Times of Israel newspaper said that Ben Gvir "caused tensions among the attendees, who were participating in a memorial service for the dead soldiers."
One person shouted: “Get out of here, you criminal,” as the far-right minister walked onto the podium. Another said: “Criminal, what are you doing here?”
An elderly woman can also be seen shouting at Ben Gvir repeatedly, while a police officer tries to push her away.
As a result, a quarrel broke out among those present, as some felt angry at the harassment targeting the Minister of National Security.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that the ceremony was for the relatives of the dead soldiers, noting that the families tried to prevent the ministers and members of the Knesset from giving their speeches.
It explained that some of the relatives of the dead decided not to participate in the ceremony because of the arrival of politicians.
