Resignation of a senior official in the Israeli National Security Council
Israeli Radio reported on Sunday the resignation of the person responsible for drawing up strategic affairs in the Israeli National Security Council, Yoram Hamo.
The official radio said that the reason for Hamo's resignation was that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not make decisions regarding the "day after" the war and the return of military operations in northern Gaza.
The new resignation comes two days after the announcement of the resignation of Mushek Aviv, head of the Israeli propaganda system (Hespra), only months after his appointment.
During the past weeks, a number of Israeli officials submitted their resignations against the backdrop of accusations of failure to manage the war on Gaza, most notably the head of the Military Intelligence Division (Aman), Aharon Haleva, with expectations of a series of resignations in the army leadership, including Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi and his deputy, Amir Baram.
The Israeli arena is witnessing sharp disagreements and divisions against the backdrop of the continuation of the war on Gaza and the accusation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of seeking to prolong it for political and personal reasons, despite the huge losses incurred by the occupation army and the failure to achieve any of the declared war goals, most notably the recovery of detainees in Gaza and the judiciary. On the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
