The Biden administration stopped an ammunition shipment to Israel... for the first time since October 7
Last week, the administration of US President Joe Biden stopped a shipment of American-made ammunition that was heading to Israel, according to what the political correspondent for the Israeli “Walla” website and the American “Axios” website reported, citing two Israeli officials, on Sunday.
According to the report, stopping the ammunition shipment “raised serious concerns within the Israeli government,” and pointed out that this is the first time that Washington has delayed an arms shipment to the Israeli army, since last October 7.
The report stated that this step "caused great concern" among the government in Tel Aviv, and added that Israeli officials "have been trying for days" to find out the reason for the delay in the shipment.
Israeli officials stated that the shipment, which included ammunition for the Israeli army, “was supposed to leave for Israel before it was stopped at some point by order of Washington.”
