On Wednesday evening, the Israeli occupation forces intensified their repressive measures against citizens in the Old City and the eastern neighborhoods of the city of Hebron, and surrounded eight families with barbed wire inside their homes in the Jaber neighborhood, east of the city.

According to local sources, the Israeli occupation forces closed with barbed wire the entrance to two houses in the Jaber neighborhood, in which eight families from the Jaber family live, thus besieging those families inside the two houses, and preventing them from entering and exiting.

The sources pointed to the suffering of the people in the Old City and the areas east of the city of Hebron in light of the significant and continuous increase in the frequency of attacks by settlers and occupation forces, especially since the seventh of last October, stressing that they are subjected to harassment, detention, and arrest at checkpoints and roads.
